Surfside Race Place has ongoing handicapping contests and tournaments to make your wagering experience even better.

Qualify at Surfside Race Place for the
January 2011 National Handicapping Championship!

Would you like to win half a million dollars and the title of Handicapper of the Year? The first step is to place high in a qualifying competition for the Daily Racing Form/NTRA National Handicapping Championship (NHC). Surfside Race Place has four of these qualifying tournaments.

The NHC takes place each January. The winner earns $500,000 and the title of Handicapper of the Year, including recognition at the Eclipse Awards the following year. Contestants must qualify (there are no "buy-ins") in one of over 100 qualifying tournaments conducted throughout the year at various venues across the country, one of which is Surfside Race Place.

2010 Qualifying Tournaments at Surfside Race Place will be:
April 17-18, 2010 (Download contest RESULTS)
July 10-11, 2010 (Download contest RESULTS)
October 23-24, 2010
December 26-27, 2010

Mark your calendar, and we'll have entry information posted here soon. $20,000 in cash prizes each tournament; $200 entry fee; top three in each qualifier make the team for the 2011 Championship!
